[ that said, sylvain's risk assessment leaves something to be desired... but that's neither here nor there. he's quickly proven right, anyway. her chakra manipulation is leagues above anything he can muster with what little Faith (hah) he has, potent enough it's almost a surprise.

he watches with obvious fascination as the wound seals itself, trying but unable to identify the energy that pours into his hand. it's not quite like the magic he's familiar with back home, though it feels just as personal. he flexes his fingers, then curls them into a fist, pleased to find there's no pain or discomfort in the movement. ]

（ will you stOP. the second coin gets an exasperated sigh, and then she flips it over into her hand with the sleight of hand a magician would be proud of, and then holds up both coins slotted neatly between her fingers, their rims delicately balanced between her index, middle and ring fingers. ）

I'm always a little tired, healing people here. But it's not anything a good meal or some sleep won't overcome. Satisfied?

[ impossible... actually he's glad she caved after two coins, he only has the one left. and the little trick gets an impressed whistle from him, though his expression is somewhat solemn. ]

Ah! That's not to say it would mean I was dying, or anything like that. It would just mean I'm really out of energy.

also that doesn't sound convincing at all, but only because sylvain is surrounded by capable and headstrong people in his life who need to be coerced into rest and reliance. ingrid and dimitri immediately come to mind. ]
